So you have created a beautiful website that you are proud to show off, but getting eyes on your site can be challenging. Luckily we have some tips for you to increase traffic.
Create an ad: Google ads on maps and searches are a great way to connect with people searching for your product or service online. Social media platforms all offer ad platforms which can be a great way to connect with your audience.
Try online communities and forums: Join relevant online communities and forums related to your industry or niche and share your website and content in a helpful and informative way. Remember to always be respectful and considerate when promoting your website and try to focus on providing value to your audience.
Collaborate with other businesses or bloggers: Partner with other businesses or bloggers who have a similar target audience and offer to cross-promote each other's websites and content.
Create valuable and shareable content: Focus on creating high-quality content that people will want to share with their own networks. This can include blog posts, videos, and infographics.
Leverage social media: Use social media posts to promote your website and interact with your audience. Share updates, behind-the-scenes glimpses, and engaging content to build a following and drive traffic to your website. Make sure to update your profile link.
Offer incentives or discounts: Consider offering incentives or discounts to encourage people to visit your website and share it with their own networks.
Email Signature: Don’t forget to add your website address to your email signature. It’s a fast way for people to find your website and learn about your product or service.
Good old fashion printed sign: If you have a retail location add a sign or window decal to encourage visitors to your website
Networking: Building relationships with other businesses, and industry professionals can lead to opportunities for guest posting, collaborations, and mutual promotion. Don’t rule out meet-ups from the local chamber of commerce or other biz dev groups.
I gave you a few tips, but usually it's not one that wins. Try to implement 2 or 3 of the above ideas and see how they work for you. And finally, once people are on your website make sure you have a clear call to action for the user to take. More on that to come.
